MOORESBORO: Elizabeth “Liz” Jolley, 60, died Monday, March 4, 2023 at Atrium Health Cleveland. She was the daughter of the late John Edward and Linda Hagy Plank. Liz was a member at Cliffside Baptist Church and her grandchildren where her life. She enjoyed crafting, shopping, going to Pigeon Forge and playing slot machines. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Deborah Jean Plank and Vickie Toney. Liz is survived by her husband of 39 years, Gary Jolley of the home; son, Jonathon Jolley and wife Leanne of Shelby; daughter, Ashley Barlow and husband Zach of Mooresboro; sisters, Teresa Sigmon and husband Roger of Maiden and Pamela Greene and husband Ronald of Mooresboro; brothers, Mike Plank and wife Nancy of Shelby, David Plank and wife Gina of Alaska, and Eddie Plank and wife Sandy of Vale; grandchildren, Abigail, Eli, Kylie and Gabriella; and brother-in-law, Danny Toney of Forest City. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Cliffside Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Elgin officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, in the church. Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
