Elizabeth "Lib" Still

SHELBY: Elizabeth “Lib” Still, 92, died Sunday, May 19, 2024 at White Oak Manor in Shelby. She was born in Anderson, SC on June 8, 1931. Lib was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the P.E.O. Chapter AH. She loved being a homemaker and raising her three sons. She enjoyed family, gardening, cooking, sea shelling, and traveling all the Canadian providences in Canada, and all the United States, with the exception of Hawaii. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, James “Jim” Still. She is survived by her sons, Jim Still Jr. and wife Sharon of Rutherfordton, Mike Still and wife Alison of Waco and Bob Still and wife Tina of Shelby; grandchildren, Joanna Still Browning and husband Ross, James “Jes” E. Still III and wife Amanda, Lexie Still, Kristin Still Clifton and husband Will, Michael Still, Kori Still, Tyler Jones and wife Amy and Elijah Jones; and great grandchildren, Reid, Davis, Clara, Elsie, Stella and Drexel. Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, June 2, 2024 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church with the Rev. Randy Blanton and Rev. Jason Elmore officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, in the sanctuary. A private family burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
