SHELBY- Mrs. Laura Ellen Mann, 76, of 211 N. Morgan St., went to be with Jesus Thursday, April 3, 2008 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. She was native of Polk County, NC daughter to the late John Coleman and Mattie Lee Davis Jolley. She was a homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of New Testament Missionary Baptist Church of Waco and loved being outdoors, especially tending to her flowers.
PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Bobby Jolley.
SURVIVORS: She is survived by a son, James Clarence Mann and his wife Brenda of Ellenboro; a daughter, Norma Coursey and her husband Jimmy, of Shelby; a brother, James Paul Jolley and his wife Brenda of Greer, SC; two sisters, Virgie Stacey and Barbara Jolley, both of Rutherfordton; six grandchildren, Larry Putnam Jr., Angela Putnam White, Kevin Mann, Susan Mann; twenty-one great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and a former husband, Clarence "Buck" Mann of Shelby.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 5, 2008 from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.
FUNERAL: The funeral will be at 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 5, 2008 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel.
BURIAL: Burial will follow in Sandy Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Polk County.
OFFICIATING CLERGY: The Rev. Jackie Price
