Ellie Wilson Lee

SHELBY- Mrs. Ellie Wilson Lee, 93, of 619 Tina Drive, died Monday, December 31, 2007 at home. A native of Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late John Wesley and Linnie Jones Wilson. She was retired from J.P. Stevens and was an active member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Mrs. Lee enjoyed traveling extensively throughout the U.S. and several European countries. She also enjoyed collecting music boxes and hobby horses.

PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, James Olin Lee; five sisters, Ida Callahan, Dora Padgett, Verdie Poteat, Daisy Edwards, and Lois Ellis; and two brothers, Julius Wilson and Millard Wilson.

SURVIVORS: She is survived by her son, J. Robert Lee and wife, Mary of Charlotte; two grandchildren, Todd Lee and wife, Cindy of Charlotte and Sherry Roberts and husband, Mark of Wallace; six great grandchildren, Nicholas Lee, Alyssa Lee, Daniel Lee, Anna Lee, Eliza Roberts and Ben Roberts; and special caretakers, Ann and Jeff Patterson, Tonya Petty and Margaret Sarratt.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 2, 2007 at Beaver Dam Baptist Church and at other times at the home.

FUNERAL: The funeral will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 2, 2007 at Beaver Dam Baptist Church.

BURIAL: Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
