MOORESBORO- Mrs. Elma Castle Humphries Harris, 82, of 2155 McCraw Road, died Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at home. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Glenn and Beulah Juanita Humphries Humphries. She was a nurse at Cleveland Memorial Hospital and later worked in physical therapyat Crawley Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Camps Creek Baptist Church where she attended the Frances Camp Sunday School Class.
PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Harris; five brothers, A.G., Boyce, Gene, Ed, and Mickey Humphries; and five sisters, Lucille Gosey, Evelyn Ridings, Janice Clements, Irene Harmon, and Carole Humphries.
SURVIVORS: She is survived by her son, Tim Harris of Gaffney; two daughters, Jane Harris of Dallas, and Vicki Jones and husband, Jimmy of Mooresboro; two sisters, Prella Arrowood of Mooresville, Margaret Batchelor of Gaffney; two grandchildren, Jaime Jones Powell and husband Bryan, of Shelby, Kaycee Harris of Mooresboro; two sisters-in-law, Betty Humphries of Gafffney and Faye Daves of Cherryville and Evelhyn Davidson of Shelby; and loving caregivers, Martha Hawkins, Mary Callahan, and Minnie Whisnant.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends, Saturday, March 6, from 1 -2pm at Camps Creek Baptist Church and other times at the home.
FUNERAL SERVICE: Services will be held, Saturday, March 6, 2pm at Camps Creek Baptist Church.
INTERMENT: Burial will immediately follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.
OFFICIATING CLERGY: Revs. Steve Durham and Dennis Hester will be officiating.
