Elsie Mcallister

SHELBY – Mrs. Elsie Lee Davis McAllister, 75, of 3016 Harold Ct., went to be with her Lord, Tues., Jan. 22, 2013 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Cora Ervin Davis. She retired from Kemit Electronics, Cleveland County Schools Cafeteria, and was a member of Davidson Memorial Baptist Church.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Richard McAllister; granddaughter, Angela McAllister; sister, Ethel Freeman; and three brothers, Ralph, A.V., and Everett Davis.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Tom McAllister Sr., of the home; two daughters, Carol Carpenter and husband Todd of Shelby, Cathy Creswell and husband Chris of Boiling Springs; stepson, Thomas McAllister Jr. of Shelby; four sisters, Aileen Glenn, Lillian Smith, Catherine Walker and husband Paul, all of Shelby, Sarah Knight and husband Sonny of Gaffney; three brothers, Dean Davis and wife Barbara of Shelby, Robert Davis and wife Dot of Shelby, Norris Davis and wife Glennis of Chesnee; three grandchildren, Justin Carpenter and wife Amanda of Lattimore, Casey and Christian Creswell of Boiling Springs; two great-grandchildren, Cheyenne and Savannah Carpenter; two sister-in-laws, Reba and Virginia Davis of Shelby; and many nieces and nephews survive.

SERVICES: Thursday, 2pm, at Davidson Memorial Baptist Church

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Wednesday, 6-8pm, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home, and other times at her home.
