MOORESBORO- Mrs. Elsie Vinesett McCraw, 96, formerly of 2612 Wood Rd., died Saturday, September 18, 2010 at White Oak Manor of Kings Mountain. A native of Cherokee County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Belle Blanton Vinesett. She was a member of Lavonia Baptist Church, where she played both the organ and the piano. She loved gardening, and most of all, her music.
PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd B. McCraw, and seven brothers.
SURVIVORS: She is survived by two sons, Keith McCraw, and wife, Carolyn, of Shelby and Troy McCraw, and wife, Toni, of Oriental; two sisters, Melba Russell of Union, SC, and Gladys Ford, of Dayton, OH; four grandchildren, Keith McCraw, Jr., of Raleigh, Marsha Williamson and husband, Sam, of Charlotte, Sherra Stone and husband, Ashley, of High Point, and Neal McCraw, of Oriental; and four great- grandchildren.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m. on Monday, September 20, 2010 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home in Shelby.
GRAVESIDE SERVICE: A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, September 20, 2010 at Cleveland Memorial Park.
OFFICIATING CLERGY: The Rev. Tony Tench will officiate.
