Enos Dixon

January 13, 1931 — January 11, 2010

SHELBY- Mr. Enos Larry Dixon, 78, of Shelby, died Monday, January 11, 2010 at Hospice House of Rutherford County. A native of Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Enos Laben and Mary Ross Dixon. He retired from Kelsan, and was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge No. 744. Mr. Dixon was a supporter of St. Jude’s and Samaritan’s Purse.

PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Zelma Alexander, Trula Howell and Dorothy Allen; three brothers, including his twin brother, Ernest B., John Ross, and Dalton Dixon.

SURVIVORS: He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Faye McDaniel Dixon of the home; a daughter, Lynn Dixon Patterson and husband, Tony, of Rutherfordton; a sister, Mary Ellen Wilson and husband, Loren, of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren, Heather Fry and husband, Chris of Rutherfordton, Zachary Patterson and wife, Jill, of Portsmouth, VA, and Adam Patterson and wife, Dana, of Rutherfordton; three great grandchildren, Hannah Lynn Fry, Jacob Ellis Fry, and Dixon Callie Patterson; sister-in-law, Sue Dixon of Bruton, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Elizabeth Baptist Church, and at other times at the home.

FUNERAL SERVICE: The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Elizabeth Baptist Church.

INTERMENT: Burial will immediately follow in Elizabeth Baptist Church Cemetery.

OFFICIATING CLERGY: Dr. Rit Varriale will officiate.
