Eric Wilkinson

David "Eric" Wilkinson, 60, native of Shelby, NC, passed away peacefully at his home on June 9, 2020.
Preceded in death by his parents, Marion Coyte Wilkinson and Erla Dean Hollifield Wilkinson both of Shelby.
Eric is survived by his children Adam Wilkinson of Shelby and Courtney Wilkinson of Charlotte, North Carolina. Brother Keith "Corky" Wilkinson and wife Kathy of Boiling Springs, North Carolina. Nephews Clayton Wilkinson and wife Deborah Knupp Wilkinson of Boiling Springs and MSgt Zachary Wilkinson of the United States Air Force based in Sumter, South Carolina. Great-nephew Easton Wilkinson and great-niece Harper Wilkinson.
Many people will remember Eric as the disc jokey at The Dock Night Club formerly located on Hwy 226 in Shelby.
Eric loved watching Carolina Panthers games as well as going to them with his children and loved watching the Atlanta Braves and The Andy Griffith show. He also had three beloved dogs, Lira-Kai, Kylee and Kenzie. Eric truly enjoyed time with family and friends and will be be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Clifford's Army Rescue Extravaganza in Shelby, honoring Eric's true love of animals.
