Essie Crawley Davis

GROVER- Ms Essie Crawley Davis, 67, of 1134 Long Branch Rd., died Thursday, July 28th 2011, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Ann Rudisall Crawley. She was a member of Allen Memorial Baptist Church in Grover.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Lora Workman.


SURVIVORS: She is survived by one step son, Tony G. Cook of Fallston; four daughters, Candice Cook and John Whittworth of Grover, Carolyn Mellon and husband Thomas of Cherryville, Patsy Buchanan of Cherryville, Sherry Canipe and husband Blackey of Conover, and Angela Cummings and husband Buck of Hickory; one sister, Vivian of Vale; two brothers, Leon Crawley and Dean Crawley, both of Vale; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Saturday July 30, 2011, 10:00-11:00 am at Allen Memorial Baptist Church in Grover.

FUNERAL: The funeral service will be held following the visitation beginning at 11:00 am at the church.

INTERMENT: Burial will immediately follow the service at the church cemetery.

CLERGY: The Rev. Joe Riley will be officiating.
