MOORESBORO: Ethel Pendergrass Stiles, 81, died Sunday, September 19, 2021 at her home. A native of Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Lucy Neal Pendergrass. She was a member of Cliffside Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, David Alden Stiles; sisters, Delphia Stiles and Florence West; and brother, Johnny Pendergrass. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Marshall Stiles of the home; sons, Michael Stiles and wife Jennifer of Mooresboro and Bryan Stiles and wife Roxanne of Shelby; daughter, Donna Justice and husband Roger of Shelby; sisters, Frances Davis and husband Wayne of GA and Wanda Mashburn and husband John of FL; brother, Wayne Pendergrass and wife Susan of VA; grandchildren, Kristi Stiles and boyfriend Jake Johnson, Alan Justice and wife Christy and Anthony Stiles and wife Morgan; great grandson, Marshall Alan Justice; and niece Susie Davis and husband Virgil, and their son Josh Reid Davis and daughter Lori Cook and husband Andrew. A graveside service will be held 4:00pm, Tuesday, September 21, 2021 in Beaver Dam Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Revs. Mike Elgin and Tom Runyan officiating. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cleveland County, Cliffside Baptist Church or Beaver Dam Baptist Church.
