Ethel Odom Spangler

SHELBY- Mrs. Ethel Odom Spangler, 93, of N. Lafayette St., died Sat., Sept 25, 2010 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late D.F. Odom Sr. and Fannie Jordan Odom. She was a member of First Baptist Church.


PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Mal A. Spangler Jr., and a brother, D.F. Odom Jr.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her two loving sons, Mal A “Al” Spangler III and Donald Spangler, both of Shelby; grandson Chad F. Spangler and wife Carmen E. of Charlotte; two great grandchildren, Parker Ellis Spangler and William Malry Spangler

SERVICES: Funeral will be 3pm Tues., Sept. 28th at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

BURIAL: Private family burial at Sunset Cemetery
