Ettress White

February 22, 1934 — December 24, 2008

SHELBY- Mrs. Ettress Eveleene Ledbetter White, 74, of 5006 Pecan Drive, died Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at home. A native of Cherokee County, she is the daughter of the late Dennis and Leona Gordon Ledbetter. She was of the Baptist faith and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth White, a brother, Archie Ledbetter, and a sister Margie Childers.

SURVIVORS: She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Chester “Sid” White of the home; five sons Jimmy White and wife Anita of Shelby, David White and fiancé Tiffany Johnson of Kings Mountain, Charles White and wife Sandra of Gaffney, and Morris White of Shelby, and Shannon White of the home; five daughters Imogene Glenn of Shelby, Annette Sarratt and husband Ronnie of Cliffside, Nancy Kennedy and husband Ron, Carolyn Barrett, and Cathy White, all of Shelby. She is also survived seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and special friend Crystal Crump.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Saturday, December 27, from 1-2pm at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.

FUNERAL: Services will be held Saturday, December 27, at 2pm, in the Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel.

INTERMENT: Burial will immediately follow in Sunset Cemetery.

CLERGY: Rev. Dan Wallace will be officiating
