Eva Scruggs Crawley

SHELBY- Mrs. Eva Virginia Scruggs Crawley, 81, of 1431 Padgett Rd., died Monday, April 16, 2007 at home. A native of Spartanburg County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Eva Pearl Scruggs. She was retired from Jenkins Foods.

PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Crawley, and a brother, Carl Scruggs.

SURVIVORS: She is survived by two sons, Charles Crawley and James Crawley, both of Shelby; two daughters, Janet McNeeley and husband, Bobby of Lattimore and Helen Alexander and husband Larry of Ellenboro; four grandchildren, Robert Alexander, Angel Flanagan, Shane McNeeley and Tanya McNeeley; five great-grandchildren, Nicholas Alexander, August Alexander, Steve Alexander, Joey Flanagan and Rebecca Flanagan; and a sister-in-law, Nell Scruggs of Forest City.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 17, 2007 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.

FUNERAL: A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at 2:30 pm at Sandy Run Baptist Church Cemetery.
