SHELBY: Evelyn Reid Wright, 72, died Friday, June 7, 2024 at her home. She was born May 11, 1952 in Rutherford County. Evelyn was a free spirited, kind and a generous lady who loved all. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Wright. She is survived by her daughter, Chasity Daigle and husband Kevin Ross of Shelby; sons, Chris Ellis of Kentucky and Nehmiah McGee of Asheville; grandchildren, Kayla Briel, Patrick Daigle, Deonte Lynch and Jonathan Wilson; great granddaughter, Ivy Briel; and special friend, Harold Gleves.
