SHELBY- Mr. Everette Goins, 92, of 503 Beaumonde Ave., formerly of S. Washington St., died Sunday, August 5, 2007 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Cleveland County, he was a son of the late James and Inor Lankford Goins. He was retired from the Dover Mill and Shelby Auto Auction. Mr. Goins served in the Civilian Conservation Corps and was a member of Dover Baptist Church.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
SURVIVORS: He is survived by his loving wife, Verina McCurry Goins of Carillon Assisted Living; two sons, Jerry Goins, and wife, Mary Ann of Shelby and Sam Keith Goins and wife, Susan of Greenville, SC; two sisters, Ivy Goins Davis and husband Grady and Lela Goins Dedmon, all of Shelby; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Everette’s family would like to thank the staff of Carillon Assisted Living and Cleveland Pines Nursing Center for all of their dedicated care.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 8, 2007 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Dover Baptist Church and at other times at the home.
FUNERAL: The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at Dover Baptist Church.
BURIAL: Burial will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park.
