SHELBY- Mrs. Fannie Belle Pearson, 74, died Thursday, March 15, 207 at Crawley Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Rutherford County, daughter to the late Hiram A. and Maudie E. Connor Smith. She was a caregiver to children for most of her life, owning and operating a day care center for children for many years, later caring for children in the Cleveland County Foster Grand-parent Program for over 10 years. She was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her six brothers, Howard A., Joe M., Willie B., Arnold A., Ernest, and Reid Smith; and three sisters, Lula Mae Jenkins, Leona Wilkes, and Lilia Smith.
SURVIVORS: She is survived by her two sons, Michael J. Pearson and his wife Jody of Boiling Springs, and Darrell Pearson and his fiancé, Karen Earls of Shelby; one sister, Clara Jones of Polkville; and four grandchildren, Jason, Michelle, Nicholas, and Carly Pearson.
