Faye Horton

KINGS MOUNTAIN: Faye Leming Horton, 78, died Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Hospice of Carolina Foothills in Forest City. Born in Gaston County, she was the daughter of the late James and Geneva Standridge Leming. Faye was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and was a lady who loved her family dearly. She was an avid Carolina Tar Heel Basketball fan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Horton; brothers, Jimmy and Danny Ray Leming; and sisters, Joyce Clark, Annie Belle Stone and Susan Bryson. She is survived by her daughters, Carol Borders and husband Tim of Blacksburg and Elaine Sayers and husband Mike of Kings Mountain; sisters, Jean Dotson, Linda Moss and Debbie Hembree, all of Kings Mountain; sister-in-law, Debbie Leming of Lincolnton; grandchildren, Hayley Judd and husband Daniel, Lindsey Black and husband Buddy, Blake Sayers and wife Meagan and Andy Borders and wife Madison; great-grandchildren, Alison, Hadonn, Tytonn, Bentlee, Milynn, Jaxon, Tinley and Gunner; and many other extended family members. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 P.M. Monday, February 20, 2023 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home in Kings Mountain. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Steve Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain Rest Cemetery.
