Faye Renfroe

SHELBY: Margaret “Faye” Finch Renfroe, 93, died Sunday, February 23, 2025 at Hospice at Wendover. Born in Calhoun County, AL, she was the daughter of the late Austin and Elector Hart Finch. Faye retired from Hoechst Celanese and was a lifelong member of Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking fried chicken and being a seamstress. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Clarence Renfroe; brothers, Harlon and Billy Finch; sister, Joann Magatha; and grandson, Travis Guffey. She is survived by her sons, Jimmy Renfroe and wife Lynn and Ricky Renfroe and wife Mary, both of Shelby; daughters, Brenda Coffey and husband Danny and Sandra Tylor, both of Cherryville; sisters, Elsie Willis and husband Floyd and Dean Smith, both of AL; brother, Travis Finch of GA; 9 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 26, 2025 in Cleveland Memorial Park with Pastor Andrew Renfroe officiating.
