Faye Shepperson

January 14, 1940 — October 22, 2022

SHELBY: Bessie “Faye” Shepperson, 82, died Saturday, October 22, 2022 at White Oak Manor in Shelby. Born in Gaston County, she was the daughter of the late JP Hart Sr. and Georgia Hartsell Hart. Faye served in the Navy and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, where she served in many different capacities over the years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Shepperson Sr.; and ten brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Beth Shepperson of Shelby; sons, John Shepperson Jr. and wife Kirstin of Greensboro and David Shepperson and wife Eileen of Reidsville; sister, Sue Lewis of Cramerton; grandchildren, Kelly, J.T., Jacob, Anna and Nicole; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00PM, Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Bethel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Tim Sims officiating. The family will receive friends 12:30-2:00PM, prior to the service, in the church. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Bethel Baptist Church or Hospice of Cleveland County.
