Faye Wright Towery

FOREST CITY- Faye Wright Towery, 76, formerly of Shelby, died Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, after a sudden illness. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter to the late Ben and Lillian Grigg Wright. Faye was a humble person that loved her family and her church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where she served a church mission. She retired as custodian of the church after working many years. After this retirement, she worked at isothermal Community College in the custodial department.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sons, Christopher and Benjamin Towery.

SURVIVED: Left to cherish the memories are her daughter, Lura Brooks and husband Mack of Spotsylvania, VA, sister, Sandy Hollifield of Bostic; and grandchildren, Kayla Brooks, Thomas Brooks, Taylor Brooks, Krista Towery Miller, Chelsea Towery, Ryian Towery, Eathean Towery, Austin Hoyle, and Cassidy Hoyle.


VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

MEMORIAL SERVICES: will be held Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 5:00 PM at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel

OFFICIATING: Gary Beaumont will officiate
