SHELBY-Floyd Ray Mauney, Jr., 59, of S. Lafayette St., passed away Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015, at Carolinas HealthCare System-Cleveland.
A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Floyd Ray, Sr. and Harriet Louise Eubanks Mauney. He owned and operated Mauney’s Auto Trim Shop in Shelby.
He is survived by his wife Jane Yarbro Mauney of the home; three sons, Floyd Ray Mauney, III and wife Leslie, Michael Lee Mauney and wife Katie both of Shelby, and Jason Dekalb Mauney and wife Adrianna of Boiling Springs; two sisters, Mary Mauney Hardin and husband Eddie and Donna Mauney Pierce all of Shelby; two grandchildren, Victoria Rose Mauney and Jaxon Lee Mauney.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, at Elizabeth Baptist Church, officiated by Dr. Rit Varriale and Rev. Ray Farrow.
Burial will be at Sunset Cemetery.
