Foy Fredell

KINGS MOUNTAIN -- Foy Jack Fredell, 76, entered into his heavenly home on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 surrounded by his family at home. Foy was born on February 20, 1947 in Rutherfordton, NC to the late William Robert Fredell and Bessie Myrtle Self. He was preceded in death by his sisters; Mildred Hamrick, Vergie Campbell, Agnes Bowen and Annie Moses; brothers, James, Pinkney and Roy Fredell. Foy was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle and grandfather who loved his family and always had a smile on his face. He retired from Kemet after 23 years of dedicated service. Foy had natural talent for working on engines and mowers and took pride in his work and helping others. He loved his children and grandchildren and would light up everytime he saw them. His smile and laughter was truly contagious and his love was always unconditional. Throughout his 76 years, he made an impact in so many lives. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Gail Fredell; son, Troy Fredell and (wife) Ginny; daughter, Karla Morton; stepsons, Jason Kale and (wife) Kammie; Lee Kale; twin brother Coy Fredell; brother, Manual Fredell and (wife) Midge; sister, Essie Bivens; 5 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, all of which he loved deeply. “A Celebration of Life” will be held at 4pm Saturday November 11th at Clay-Barnette Funeral in Kings Mountain, officiated by Chip Sloan. The family will receive friends from 3-4pm prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to “Hospice of Cleveland County”.
