FRANCES BLANTON BOWEN



SHELBY- Frances Blanton Bowen, 84, died Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at her residence. She was born in Cherokee Co to the late Henry Grady and Mallie Robbs Blanton. She was a long time member of Flint Hill Baptist Church and loved square dancing. She was retired from PPG after 37 years of service.


PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Albert Bowen; daughter Deborah “Debbie” Bowen Jones; brother, Henry Blanton; sisters, Miriam Cook, Margaret Caldwell and Mary Katherine Roark; and son-in-law Jack Jones



SURVIVED: She is survived by her grandchildren Jennifer Faircloth and husband Ronnie of Shelby and Cher J. Bridges of Shelby; great grandchildren Christina and Journey Faircloth, Kayla Mote, and Ashley Bridges; great great grandchildren Elijah and Hailie.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

FUNERAL SERVICES: Services will be held Saturday, July 8,2017 at Clay Barnette Funeral Home Chapel of Shelby at 11 AM

OFFICIATING: Rev. Keith Dixon will be officiating

BURIAL: Internment will be at Cleveland Memorial Park immediately following the service
