SHELBY — Frances Pruett Runyans, 88, died Tuesday June 5, 2018 at Testa Family Hospice.
A native of Cleveland County, she was born to the late Weldon and Melissa Franklin Pruett. She retired from PPG after a number of years as a secretary. She was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church of Shelby. She considered First Baptist of Shelby to be her second family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Manley Runyans.
She is survived by her very close friends, Jonanna Robbs and Carolyn Putnum, both of Shelby and Gail Garner of Lake Wylie; first cousin Judy Mitchell of Cow Pens, SC; Uncle Rev. Gene and Mrs. Franklin of Cowpens, SC; and sister-in-law Melba Tate of Union, S.C.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of James & Jonanna Robbs.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 2018 at Clay-Barnette with the Rev. Tony Tench officiating,
Burial will follow the service at Sunset Cemetery
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cleveland Co. 951 Wendover Street Shelby, NC 28150.
Arrangements are entrusted to Clay-Barnette Funeral, Cremation & Pet Aquamation Center.
