SHELBY-Frances Self Shuford, 73, went to be with her Lord, Monday, July 20, 2015, at Carolinas Healthcare-Cleveland. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Coyte and Pauline Page Self. She retired from Doran Textiles. Frances was a member of Polkville Baptist Church, where she was a former Sunday school teach, prayer chair person, and a faithful servant of the Lord.
PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Billy Thomas Shuford; brothers, Carl and George Self; and brother-in-law, Bud Johns.
SURVIVED: She is survived by her two sons, Jeff Shuford and wife Jenny of Polkville, and Scott Shuford and wife Angela of Shelby; sister, Virginia Johns of Idaho; grandchildren, Jessica, Josh, Ryan, and Holden Shuford, Andy and Evan Gunter; brother and sister-in-laws, Mabel and Carl Houser of Vale, Penny and Edward Head of Boiling Springs, Steve and Brenda Shuford of Boiling Springs, Rick and Kim Shuford of Shelby.
FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 3pm, Friday, at Polkville Baptist Church.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends two hour prior to the service, at the church, and other times at the home of Jeff and Jenny Shuford.
BURIAL: will follow in the church cemetery
