Frank Dixon

July 17, 1924 — April 1, 2008

GROVER- Mr. Thomas Frank Dixon, 83, of 108 Carolina Ave., died Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at home. A native of Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Ira Dixon and Mattie Blackburn Dixon. He was a member of Allen Memorial Baptist Church and served in the Navy during WWII.

PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Emogene Allen Dixon, a daughter, Tracy Rippy, a brother, Marion Dixon, and a grandson, Lanny Goins.

SURVIVORS: He is survived by four sons, Mike Dixon of Kings Mountain, Daryl Dixon and wife, Beth, and Scott Dixon and wife, Donna, all of Grover, and Robert Paul Dixon and wife, Sandra, of Blacksburg, SC; two daughters, Vickie Hamrick of Grover and Kathy Garcia and husband, Michael of Kings Mountain; three sisters, Sara Faye Ruppe and husband, Marshall of South Carolina, Frances Dodson and Helen Wells and husband, Boyce, all of Kings Mountain; four brothers, Nelson Dixon, Gene Dixon and wife, Gail, and Sidney Dixon and wife, Mildred, all of Kings Mountain, and Rev. Harley Dixon, of Kentucky; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 4, 2008 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

FUNERAL: The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 4, 2008 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel.

BURIAL: Burial will follow in Allen Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery in Kings Mountain.
