Frankie Grigg

June 14, 1922 — June 26, 2017

SHELBY- Frankie Varie Grigg, 95, formerly of Kings Rd., died Monday, June 26, 2017, at White Oak Manor. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Floise Davis Barrett. She worked as a beautician and was a member of Westwood Heights Baptist Church. She believed the promise of Christ with all her heart and has entered God’s Kingdom peacefully and is now with the people she loved most. The family would like to give “thanks and warm wishes” to the staff of White Oak Manor.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Roy Lee Grigg; brother, Hagan Barrett; and sisters Sue Putnam and Dorothy Hamilton.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her son, Terry Grigg and wife Trish of Gastonia; brother, Charles Barrett Jr. of Shelby; grandchildren, Amy Patterson and husband Danny of Boiling Springs, Taylor Grigg of Kings Mountain, and Trevor Grigg of Gastonia; great-grandchildren, Sarah Jade Patterson and Andrew Patterson; and several nieces and nephews.

GRAVESIDE SERVICES: A graveside service will be held 10AM, Thursday, at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service, at the graveside.

OFFICIATING: Rev. David Costner will officiate
