SHELBY – Mrs. Frances “Frankie” Morehead, 77, of Canterbury Rd., died Thurs., Dec. 13, 2012. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Agnes Thompson Terry. She was a member of Lily Memorial Baptist Church, where she was a children’s Sunday School teacher for many years. She enjoyed volunteering at schools, camping with her husband, and crocheting. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank “Pete” Morehead; brother, Everett Terry; and sister, Rachel Plotast.
SURVIVED: She is survived by her daughter, Ellen Ruppe and husband Ronnie of Shelby; three sons, Butch Morehead and wife Jill of Shelby, Rev. Bubby Morehead and wife Meredith of Mooresboro, Mickey Morehead and wife Betty of Shelby; ten grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; her pet and best friend, Lucy; and special friends, Mike and Dianne Loveday of Shelby.
SERVICES: 2pm, Tuesday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel
VISITATION: The family will receive friend Monday, 6-7:30pm, at the funeral home.
