Frankie Rippy

SHELBY – Mr. Boyd “Frankie” Rippy, 56, of Gardner St., died Sat., Feb. 23, 2013 at his home. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of Jack Rippy of Shelby, and the late Margaret Watson Rippy. He was an electrician, a member of Christ The King Church, and loved to collect comic books.

SURVIVED: In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Mary Franklin Rippy, of the home; son; Chris Rippy and wife Susan; step-son, Paul Franklin and wife Lindsay, all of Shelby; three step-daughters, Mary Ann Franklin of Kings Mountain, Tabitha Hullander and husband Nick, and Amy Short, all of Shelby; sister Terrie Rippy Worthen and husband Mike of Greenville, SC; brother, Jack Rippy Jr. and wife Jennifer of Shelby; and 12 grandchildren survive.

SERVICES: A memorial will be held at a later date.
