LAWNDALE- Mr. Fred Tessneer Sr., 76, of 207 E. Stagecoach Trail, died Saturday, August 9, 2008 at home. A native of Cleveland County, he was a son to the late Tom and Addie Wilson Tessneer. He worked for Glenn Cornwell at Cornwell Oil for 30 years, and retired with Printing and Packing. Fred was a member of Gloryland Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed going to trade lots, and loved when his grandchildren and great grandchildren came to visit.
PRECEDED IN DEATH: Fred departed this life to be with his loving wife Nettie Kelly Tessneer of 54 years. In addition to his parents and wife, he is also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
SURVIVORS: He is survived by two sons, Tommy Tessneer and his wife Elaine, and Ronnie Tessneer, all of Shelby; two daughters, Wanda Mullinax and her husband Rocky, Paula Price and her husband Tommy, all of Lawndale; ten grandchildren, Thomas Tessneer and his wife Keesha, Jonathan Tessneer and his wife Lauren, Sheila Bradley and her husband Jon, Rebecca Robertson and her husband James, Rocky Mullinax, Matt Mullinax and his wife Crystal, Tiffany Tessneer, Ashley Tessneer, Candace Peterson and her husband Randy, and Tommy Price II; fifteen great grandchildren; a special sister and brother in-law, Edith Kelly and her husband Brady, and sister-in-law Mary Tessneer Allen.
FUNERAL: The funeral service will be held, Tuesday (8/12), 4:00 pm, at Clay-Barnette Chapel
VISITATION: Visitation will be Monday (8/11), from 6-7:30 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and other times at the home of Tommy and Elaine Tessneer, 5409 Canterbury Road, Shelby.
BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow in Sunset Cemetery.
