Freida Blanton

KINGS MOUNTAIN-Freida Kay Blanton,60, died Monday, October 18,2021, at Atrium Health Pineville. A native of Cleveland County, she is the daughter of Isabel Smith Cook and the late Loyd Blanton. Freida was a loving and caring person who enjoyed to laugh and have a good time. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her son, Craig Griffin; sister, Nadine West; and brother, Lanny Blanton. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her boyfriend, Kenny Cogdill of the home; sons, Brandon Griffin of Abilene, TX, and Jaxan Blanton of Kings Mountain; brother, Keith Blanton of Kings Mountain. Funeral services will be held 2pm, Friday, October 22,2021 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Kings Mountain with Preacher Joshua Bell and Pastor Cathy Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday, October 21,2021 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Kings Mountain. Burial will follow the service in Mountain Rest Cemetery.
