Gene Brown

BLACKSBURG- Gene Brown, 65, of Ellis Road, died Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late John Henry and Elna Brazell Brown. He was a member of Patterson Springs Baptist Church.
PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Brown; a sister Joyce Duncan; and a great grandson Kyle Martin.
SURVIVORS: He is survived by two sons, Sammy Brown and his wife Loretta of Lawndale and Chris Brown of Polkville; two daughters Angela Tate and her husband Tommy of Shelby and Sara Fisher and her husband Kevin of Kings Mountain; a sister Ann Echerd of Black Mountain; two brothers Jerry Brown and wife Wanda of OK and Ronnie Brown and his wife Juanita of Black Mountain; seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren; four step daughters, and three step sons.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends Saturday, January 23, 2010 from 2-3pm at Bethel Baptist Church.
FUNERAL: Services will be held, January 23, 2010, 3pm, at Bethel Baptist Church.
OFFICIATING CLERGY: Dr. Tim Sims and Chuck Rinehart
