George Reever

KINGS MOUNTAIN- George Edward Reever, 86, a resident of White Oak Manor –Kings Mountain, passed away Monday August 3, 2015 at Carolinas Healthcare System-Kings Mountain. A native of York, PA, he was the son of the late William Robert and Beatrice Marie Seitz Reever. He was a Mason, Scottish Rite, York Rite, Eastern Star, a DeMolay Advisor. He was also a member of the American Legion, VFW, and Moose Lodge. He served his country as a US Marine and retired as a Master Gunnery Sergeant, E9. His career lasted a combined 60 years with the military also serving in the Vietnam Conflict. In his later years he was a Consultant with the US Marines.

PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his former wife, Bernice “Becky” Becker Reever; two brothers, William Robert Reever, and Richard Earl Reever

SURVIVED: He is survived by his current wife, Margaret Rosella Campbell Reever; one son, Richard Reever and wife Peggy of Kings Mountain; one daughter, Suzanne Ruth Reever; ten grandchildren, Jenn, will, David, Renee, Cathy Baker, Ben and Gabe DeWitt, Morgan, Payten, Robert, Rielly Reever, and Ryan Neal.

SERVICES: A funeral service will be held 6:00 pm Thursday at Christian Freedom Baptist Church in Kings Mountain.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends after the service as attendees leave.
