Georgia Lee Morehead

February 9, 1924 — April 26, 2013

SHELBY – Mrs. Georgia Lee Morehead, 89, of 1224 Patterson St., died Friday, April 26, 2013 at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Texie Queen Dayberry. She was a member of Lafayette St. U.M.C.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James ”Jim” Morehead; daughter, Patricia Wilson; brothers, Boyd and Howard Dayberry; sisters, Ethel Wilson, Myral Price Jones, and Mildred Dayberry.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her sister, Elois D. Smith of Shelby; brother, Ray Dayberry and wife Blanche of Mauldin, SC; grandchildren, Jennifer Meade and husband Kelly of Shelby, Jerri Ann Wilson of Iron Station; great-granddaughter, Emily Meade of Shelby; two nieces and caregivers, Betty Jane Smith of Shelby, and Anita Falls and husband Cliff of Fallston; and a special caregiver, Bernice Willis.

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Sunday, 3:30PM, at Sunset Cemetery

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Sunday, 2-3:00PM, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Shelby, and other times at 3811 Fallston Rd., Shelby

CLERGY: Dr. Thomas Steagald
