KINGS MOUNTAIN - Gladys Pheagin Ledbetter, 93, passed away Friday, June 16, 2017, at White Oak Manor of Kings Mountain.
She was born in Jackson County, Georgia, to the late William Homer and Lula Lawson Pheagin. She attended Bethlehem Baptist Church where she taught the Dorcas Sunday School class. She loved being a seamstress and was a long time secretary of Lily Mills.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 72 years, William Dwight Ledbetter; son, Dale Ledbetter; and brothers, JT Pheagin and WH “Bill” Pheagin Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Alohma Ledbetter Falls and husband Bill of Kings Mountain; grandchildren, Jason Falls and wife Nancy of Kings Mountain, Natalie Pennington and husband Roy of Shelby, Andrea Navey and husband Sean of Grover and William Ledbetter and wife Chrissy of Germany; eight great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the CAC building and other times at the home of Bill & Alohma Falls at 161 Mike Ledford Rd, Kings Mountain.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 19, 2017 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Kings Mountain, officiated by Dr. Steve Taylor, Rev. Tim Pheagin and Rev. Jerome Cash.
Interment will immediately follow at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.
