SHELBY- Mr. Glavis Melvin "Shake" Wacaster, 90, formerly of 108 Flint Hill Church Rd., died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006 at Crawley Memorial Hospital in Boiling Springs.
PERSONAL HISTORY: He was a native of Gaston County, NC, son to the late Lee Melvin and Mary Dellinger Wacaster, and was retired with over 30 years service from the Maintenance Dept. of the N.C. Dept of Transportation. He was a member of Flint Hill Baptist Church.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Heafner Wacaster; three brothers, Charles, Gene, and Hugh Wacaster; and a sister, Sue Wacaster.
SURVIVED BY: Two sons, Howard Wacaster and his wife Linda and Butch Wacaster and his wife Shirley, all of Shelby; a daughter, Jeanette Willis and her husband Horace of Boiling Springs; one brother, Dale Wacaster of Cherryville; six grandchildren, Bobby Willis and his wife Harriet of Boiling Springs, Lisa Lowery and her husband Allen of Mooresboro, Alan Wacaster and his wife Doreen of Boiling Springs, David Wacaster and his wife Tonya of Boiling Springs, Randy Wacaster and his wife Lyn of Fort Mill, SC, and Brian Wacaster and his wife Julie of Rock Hill, SC; and ten great-grandchildren.
VISITATION: Sunday, (Dec. 31) from 1:30-3:00pm at Flint Hill Baptist Church and other times at the home of Howard and Linda Wacaster, 1919 Flint Hill Church Rd.
FUNERAL: 3:00pm at Flint Hill Baptist Church.
BURIAL: will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park.
