Glenn Haynes

September 18, 1942 — August 15, 2014

SHELBY-The families of Glenn and Linda Kay Haynes are sad to announce their passing on Friday, Aug. 15, 2014, at their home. Glenn was a native of TN, the son of the late Hubert and Helen Thurston Haynes. He served in the Air Force and worked at Copeland. Linda was a native of Cleveland County, the daughter of the late Palmer and Flossie Bolton Allen. She was a homemaker.

PRECEDED: In addition to Glenn’s parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Edith Haynes; his second wife, Linda Kay Allen Haynes; brother, Gary Haynes; sister, Betty Howard; and brother-in-law, Ron Noblitt.

SURVIVED: Glenn is survived by his daughter, Angelia Michael and husband John of Shelby; sisters, Jane Noblitt of Lancaster, SC, and Diane Law and husband Alvin of Woodstock, GA; granddaughter, Alexandra Rose “Alli” Michael of Shelby; sister-in-law, Deanna Haynes; brother-in-law, Mike Howard; nephews, Mike and David Noblitt, Rick Canipe, Kevin and Ed Haynes, Jarrod Law; nieces, Lisa Hopper and Denise Haynes; and first cousin, Chris Kuhnert; many other special family members; and very special dog, Curly.

PRECEDED: In addition to Linda’s parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Larry “Bud” Allen and wife Jean; and her husband, Glenn Haynes.

SURVIVED: Linda is survived by her daughter, Angelia Michael and husband John of Shelby; sisters, Barbara Fowler and husband Charles, Joy McSwain and husband Mike, all of Shelby, Patsy Allen of Hillsborough, and Kathy Hipps and husband Keith of Shelby; brothers, Jerry Allen and wife Charlotte of GA, James “Butch” Allen and wife Beverly of VA; granddaughter, Alexandra Rose “Alli” Michael of Shelby; special neighbors, Jennifer and Bobby Hyde, and their daughters, Allie and Mackenzie, who were like special nieces; and many special nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews; and very special dog, Curly.

SERVICES: Wednesday, 11a.m., at Beaver Dam Baptist Church

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour, prior to the service, at the church

CLERGY: Dr. Paul Sorrells and Rev. Phil Hughes
