KINGS MOUNTAIN-Grady Durdin Farris Jr., 66, died Friday, February 4, 2022, at his home.
Born in Gaston County, he is the son of Geraldine Wall and the late Grady Farris Sr.
Grady loved his family and was a talented tradesman who never met a stranger. He was a big Steelers fan who also enjoyed remote control airplanes and playing music with various instruments. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sons, Grady “Sonny” Farris III and wife Lee Ann of Kings Mountain, Michael Farris and wife Jessica of Dallas; daughters, Candice Farris and fiancé Jeremy Hollifield of Jacksonville, NC, and Alysha Williams of Taylorsville, NC; sister, Wanda Farris of Winston-Salem, NC; stepsister, Tammy Bailey of Concord; grandchildren, Erin Farris, Colby Farris, Trey Mitchell, Carter Farris, Madison Farris, Haven Hollifield, and Eden Hollifield.
A celebration of life service will be held 5pm, Thursday, February 10, 2022, at East Gold Street Wesleyan Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services in the church.
Grady is now rejoicing with his best friend Darrin Sarvis.
