Guy “Gui “Theodore Bokoles, loving husband of Hope Bokoles went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 8, 2021 in Smyrna, TN. Gui was born September 30, 1946 in Washington, D.C. He is survived by his wife of 35 years Hope Bokoles, his children Kim Cafri, Conrado Bokoles, Yakima Bokoles (Scott Passwaters). Brendan Bokoles (Nicole Stankosky), Anthony Bokoles (fiancé Poem Atkinson), Analia Bokoles, grandchildren Maia, Ben, Kaiya, Archer, Mother Bess Bonanno, Mother-in-law Bonnie Scott, Brother -in -Law Howie Scott, Brother- in- law Paul Scott (Rebecca), Uncle Chris Harris, cousins Athena Hazel (Brian), Gus Harris, Christine Vanderschuur, George Harris (Wendy), nieces Ashleigh, Ella, Caitlyn, Camryn, Kylie, Scarlett, Phoebe, nephews Ryan (Emily) Rowan. Buchanan and Ratliff Family’s, many wonderful close friends and his pets Apollo, Victoria and Valerie. He is preceded by death his father Theodore “Ted” Bokoles. Gui was a devoted follower of Christ and a member of Lifepoint Church, Smyrna, TN. Gui was a dedicated and talented musician. He played Latin percussion. Gifted with a beautiful voice he sang all genres of music. He played with various bands and artists nationally and on worship teams in Texas and Tennessee. Gui was known for encouraging and uplifting all the musicians he played with. He used his musical gifts to teach and coach decades of rising musicians. In addition to Gui’s musical career he worked in the private sector for government contractors, Lifeway Christian Store contractors as well as being self-employed. Gui while a member of Ox Hill Baptist Church, Chantilly, VA. loved playing softball on the church team. He played for 10 years. Gui was an avid Washington Redskins fan and hailed them on no matter where he lived. Gui had a heart for adoption. This passion was not only for children, but he also rescued and nurtured many dogs and cats from infancy and grew them into loving pets. Gui had the same affect on plants. He could take a fragile plant and nurture it into a thriving plant, many lasting more than 30 years. Gui will always be remembered for living his faith first and sharing Christ with others. He will be remembered for his deep devotion to his family and friends with his, kind, gentle, humble spirit and loving ways and with his bright smile that touched everyone.
