WINSTON-SALEM- Mr. Harold David Faulk, 88, died Saturday, July 24, 2021 under hospice care in Winston-Salem. A private memorial service will be held.
Born in Monroe, NC, Harold Faulk lived most of his life in the Charlotte and Matthews, NC area. Almost three years ago he and his wife moved to an assisted living facility in Matthews, and in January 2021, moved to an assisted living facility in Winston Salem to be closer to family. He was the son of the late William Clarence Faulk and the late Blanche Bailey Faulk, and was also preceded in death by his brother Herman Faulk, and his sister Allean Faulk McGowan. He joined the army as a young man and served in the Korean War. He retired from John Hancock Insurance as a top salesman, winning many awards during more than 30 years of service. Harold took pride in cooking for his family, playing with his grandchildren and his beloved poodles. He worked tirelessly on his bountiful vegetable garden and was an expert at home DIY projects. He was a former member of First Baptist Church in Matthews, NC.
Surviving him are his wife Faye Porter Faulk, his children Bill Faulk, Donna Morton, and Michael Faulk, as well as children Lynne Faulk, Betty Hastings, and Jeanie Pressley, and his sister Kathleen Faulk Furr.
