Harriet Ray

SHELBY: Harriet Morgan Ray, 68, died Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, at her home. A native of Rowan Co., NC, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Velna Swicegood Morgan. She was a member of Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church, worked many years as a license examiner with the Highway Patrol, and retired as an owner in Ally Property Management in Myrtle Beach. She loved her grandchildren.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, BW Ray.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her sons, Eric Nail and wife Anne Marie of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and John Nail of Scottsdale, AZ; daughters, Amy Nail Bennett of Statesville, and Lauren Tessneer and husband Jon of Grover; step-son, Randal Ray and wife Tina of Cabot, Ark.; sister, Cynthia Bonner and husband Jack of Myrtle Beach, grandchildren, Collin, Graham, Beatrice, Georgia, Sydney, and Shelby; sister-in-law, Willadean Attaway of Summerville, SC; and her canine companions, Gizzie and Charlie.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends 6-7:30pm, Monday, Oct. 23, 2017, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home

FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 11am, Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017, at Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church.

OFFICIATING: Rev. Roy Byers will officiate

BURIAL: Burial will following in Cleveland Memorial Park
