Harrill Scott

SHELBY- Mr. Harrill Junior “Paw” Scott, 80, of 116 W. Shannonhouse St., died Wedenesday, June 11, 2078 at home. He was a native of Cleveland County, son to the late Zeb Scott and his step-mother, Emma and Ginny Head and his step-father, Jess. He was retired from Bost Bakery as a diesel mechanic after 30 years of service.

PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to his parents and step-parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Edith Byers Scott; two sons, David and Jerry Scott; and four brothers, Ralph, Hugh, Floyd, and Ben Head.

SURVIVORS: his son Roger Scott and his wife Wanda of Shelby; two brothers, Bill Scott and his wife Betty of Albemarle, and Albert Head of Florida; two sisters, Tootie Saldo and her husband Teddy of Boiling Springs, SC, and Louise Bradshaw of Gastonia; a special grandson, Brian Scott of the home, a special granddaughter, Angie Proctor and her husband Donnie of Shelby, grandsons, Doug Scott and his wife Rhonda of Shelby, Chris Scott and his wife Misty of Casar; Gary Terry and his wife Teresa of Shelby, Justin Haney and his wife Jamie of Oklahoma; granddaughters, Evie Baily and her husband Tommy of Caroleen, and Jerrie Nicole Scott of Polkville; Great-grandchildren, Houston and Will Proctor, Douglas and Kayla Scott, Zellie Scott, Haley Scott, and Gage Terry; and a great-great granddaughter, Aubrey Scott; and many nieces and nephews.

VISITATION: 7-9:00 pm, Thursday (6/12) at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.

HEADQUARTERS: and at other times at the home.

FUNERAL: 1:00 pm, Friday (6/13), Clay-Barnette Chapel.

BURIAL: will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
