Hazel Blanton

SHELBY- Mrs. Hazel Elizabeth Blanton, 88, of 1410 E. Gaston St., Lincolnton, formerly of Shelby, died Monday, October 16, 2006 at Lincoln Nursing Center in Lincolnton. Born on June 25, 1918 in Catawba County, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Rosa Johnson. She attended Lenoir-Rhyne College and was retired from Cleveland Lumber as a bookkeeper/office manager. She was also a former member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.

SURVIVORS: She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Blanton of the Lincoln Nursing Center; a sister, Joyce Woodson and husband, Harry, of Knoxville Tenn.; and a sister-in-law, Hazel Wallace of Moresboro.

FUNERAL: A graveside funeral service will be held at10:00 a.m. Friday, October 20, 2006 at Cleveland Memorial Park.
