Hazel Clark

May 5, 1926 — August 19, 2009

SHELBY- Mrs. Hazel Humphries Clark, 83, of 208 Joseph Court, died Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Cleveland county, she was the daughter of the late Noah Newton and Annie Mae Ivester Greene. She retired from Costner Furniture and was a member of Zoar Baptist Church.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband Horace Humphries and her second husband J.D. Clark; two brothers George and Nick Greene and a sister Grace Greene.

SURVIVORS: She is survived by her daughter Roxanna Humphries of Shelby; sister Mabel Morton Moody of Shelby; Step son J.D. Clark Jr. and wife Vickie of Greer, SC; a step granddaughter Julie Clark Blount and husband Brent ; two step great grandchildren, Grayson and Georgia Blount all of GA.; and several nieces and nephews.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends, 6-7:30, Thursday, August 20, 2009 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and other times at the home.

SERVICE: A funeral service will be held 11am, Friday, August 21, 2009 at Zoar Baptist Church. The body will be placed in the church thirty minutes prior to the service.

INTERMENT: Burial will immediately follow in Cleveland Memorial Park.

CLERGY: Dr. Robert Rose will be officiating.
