Hazel Tesseneer

July 1, 1926 — April 9, 2016

LATTIMORE- Hazel Morgan Tesseneer, 89, passed peacefully, Saturday, Apr. 9, 2016, at her home. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late M.J. and Jessie Rumfelt Morgan. She was a member of Lattimore Baptist Church, loved to sew, tend to her flowers and garden, and had a love for music and playing the piano. Her family was her life, and she was known to welcome and take in young people who were in need of a place to stay. She would often teach the bible to them as her ministry.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas Tesseneer; and brothers, William, Russell, and Latha Morgan.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Cogdell and husband Clarence, and Tina McDaniel and husband Gene; sons, Roger Tesseneer and wife Margaret, Jerry Tesseneer and wife Sue, and Chris Tesseneer and wife Anne, all of Lattimore; ten grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.

FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 11a.m., Tuesday, at Lattimore Baptist Church

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to her service, in the church

BURIAL: will follow in the church cemetery

CLERGY: Rev. Court Greene and Dr. Max Burgin will officiate
