HELEN MALONEY
KINGS MOUNTAIN-Helen Bowen Maloney, 79, passed away Monday, Sept. 4, 2017, at White Oak Manor Kings Mountain. A native of Cleveland County, she was born to the late Broadus and Annie McSwain Bowen. She loved dancing, fishing, camping, hiking or just anything outdoors. She was adventurous, a true warrior and fighter, and was always on the go.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Blaine Bowen.
She is survived by her daughter, Robin Rittenhouse and husband Matt of Lake Wylie, S.C.; sons, Boyd Maloney, Jr. and wife Charlotte of Kings Mountain, Greg Maloney and wife Katrina of Shelby, and Nathan Maloney of Baltimore, Maryland; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and other extended family.
The family will receive friends from 3 until 5 p.m., at Landmark Baptist Church, prior to the service.
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017, at Landmark Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Allen Davis.
Burial will be immediately following the service at Patterson Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
