Helen P. Davis

SHELBY-Mrs. Helen Price Davis, 88, passed away peacefully Friday, Oct.15th, 2010 at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Meade Patterson Price. She retired from the Lily Mill and was a member of Lily Memorial Baptist Church. Mrs. Davis was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved her family.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Thurman Marshall Davis; two sisters Beulah Clark and Grace Miller; and brother Earl Price.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her loving daughters Marsha Hollifield and husband Dale, and Patti Davis; sister Beatrice Dyer and husband Arthur; a brother Thurman Price, all of Shelby; three grandchildren Shannon Potts of Shelby, Ashley White and husband Cliff, Jay Hollifield and wife Amber, all of Cherryville; special friends Trudy Gold of Charlotte and Seth Treadway and his daughter Kaidyn of Shelby.

SERVICES: Funeral services will be 2pm Sunday, Oct.17th, 2010 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service

BURIAL: Private family burial at Cleveland Memorial Park
