SHELBY- Mrs. Hittie “Pauline” Philbeck, 87, formerly of the Carillon Assisted Living Center and 104 Jackson Road, Grover, died Friday, Sep. 15, 2006 at Hospice at Wendover.
PERSONAL HISTORY: Mrs. Philbeck was a native of Cleveland County and daughter to the late Alexander and Ollie Melton Melton. She was retired from Sweet Tree Mill, Cherryville, and was a member of Trinity Pentecostal Holiness Church.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: Her husband, Johnnie M. Philbeck; two sons, J.D. and Buren Philbeck; a daughter, Shirley Philbeck; and a son-in-law, Albert Cook.
SURVIVORS: Three daughters, Laurine Ellis and her husband, Austin of the home, Brenda Bridges and her husband Junior of Shelby, and Kathy Reinhardt and her husband James of Vale; a sister, Georgia Foster of Charlotte; and a daughter-in-law, Virginia Philbeck of Lattimore; 17 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
VISITATION: From 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. Saturday, September 16, 2006 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.
FUNERAL: 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 17, 2006 in the chapel of Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.
BURIAL: Will follow in Community Baptist Church Cemetery.
