Howard Wacaster

August 11, 1942 — August 3, 2011

BOILING SPRINGS- Mr. Howard Lee Wacaster, 68, of 1919 Flint Hill Church Rd., went to be with his lord Wed., Aug. 3, 2011 at his home. A native of Cleveland Co., he was the son of the late Glavis”Shake” and Gladys Heafner Wacaster. He retired after 27 years with Curtiss-Wright Flight Controls as a maintenance supervisor. He was a member of Flint Hill Baptist Church were he was a Sunday School teacher for 40 years, a church deacon, Baptist men director, and member of the Emmanuel Emmaus community.

PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Horace “Spider” Willis.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Linda Weaver Wacaster, of the home; two sons, Alan Wacaster and wife Doreen and David Wacaster and wife Tonya, all of Boiling Springs; sister, Jeanette Willis of Boiling Springs; brother, G.M. “Butch” Wacaster Jr. of Shelby; and three grandchildren, Jordan, Kaylee, and Jenna Wacaster, all of Boiling Springs.


SERVICES: 4pm Monday, at Flint Hill Baptist Church. His body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior.

VISITATION: 6-8pm Sunday, at Flint Hill Baptist Church, and other times at the home.

CLERGY: Revs. Shane Kirby and Keith Dixon, and Dr. Wayne Stacy

BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery
